Dooney, born LeDarion Heath, is a versatile rap artist originally from Phenix City,
Alabama, now based in Abu Dhabi, whose sound reflects both his roots and global
perspective. Nicknamed “Dooney” by his family—an identity inspired by a
childhood connection to his cousin Noonie—the name represents authenticity,
loyalty, and knowing the real person behind the music. He began creating music in
2016 using the BandLab app after football practice, taking his craft seriously by
2018 and steadily building his artistry. Dooney has already earned major
milestones, including opening for hip-hop legends Ying Yang Twins and Twista,
and releasing his first official music video, “Kid That Did,” filmed in Abu Dhabi.
Influenced by his family, supporters, and artists like Young Dolph, Money Man,
Larry June, and Johnny Cinco, his music blends versatility, real-life storytelling,
and multiple flows that keep listeners guessing.
